Korean Style Vermicelli noodles Beef & Vegetables

Japchae 잡채



Ingredients  

250g Beef cut into thin strips

Marinate beef

1 grated garlic
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Sesame oil
Sesame seeds
1 Green onions

1 thinly sliced Onion
1 zucchini cut into small sticks
1 carrot cut into julienne
1 thinly sliced orange pepper
Salt and pepper

Noodles 400g (made from sweet potato noodles called Dang myun, 당면)
4 tbsp Soy sauce
2tbsp Sesame oil
3 tbsp Sugar


Directions   

1. In a bowl, combine grated garlic, Soy sauce, Sugar, Sesame oil, Sesame seeds, Green onions. Marinate beef into the mixture for about 15minutes.












2. Cook the noodles in boiling water according to the instructions. Drain them in a colander, and cut the noodles with scissors into 6 inch lengths (around 15cm) Toss with soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar.






3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add the marinated beef. Stir-fry beef until it reaches desire doneness and Set aside.











4. Heat oil in a large frying pan or a wok over medium high heat. Add the onion, carrot, zucchini, orange pepper cook and stir until it's cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Add the noodles and the beef. Toss to combine. Taste and salt and pepper As needed.
